How are these eBooks different from the NurseNotes paperback books?
The content is exactly the same, but you get instant access without the cost or delay in shipping. They do not take shelf, desk or storage space. They don’t get lost or misplaced

Why do we need these eBooks when we have so many other books?
They provide a unique way to cover core content quickly, yet comprehensively with its visual approach (e.g. numerous at-a-glance tables, illustrations, icons, boldface, italics, shaded grey areas and boxed-in content).  Studying is easier and simpler because all four books have glossaries, study and memory tips, acronyms and abbreviations, end-of-chapter summaries and more than 180 easy-to-use tables.

What’s the best time to use them and by whom?
All through the nursing program for helping individuals or small study groups of students who are at-risk for not readily passing. Students who are tutors can really use these books to cover specific content with other students who may be struggling in school.  Students who spend only a short time in Peds/Psych and/or Maternity tell us that they can readily fill in the short-falls with these specific content-driven eBooks.

Can these eBooks be used for NCLEX-RN®?
Yes, especially use the questions at the end of each body system chapter in each of the four books to identify specific content-related problem areas (e.g. neuro system, cardiac, renal, etc.). The content in the eBooks and the challenging end-of-chapter questions in all the eBooks provide a supplemental updated predictor of success.

In what order should these eBooks be used in preparation for NCLEX-RN®?
Students can select the subjects they had “long ago and far away,” or content areas that were too integrated in the curriculum, or not enough time allotted in the program, or the subjects you didn’t really like.

Where does the student find help to take questions at various cognitive levels and specific categories covered on NCLEX-RN®?
See the appendices in each eBook to locate chapter by chapter the questions at the application and analysis level, as well as the 8 client needs/subneeds based on the official NCLEX-RN® test plan.

After students have used other resources, practice tests and modules, and want something new and different, can the NurseNotes series be used for endpoint review and/or remediation?
Yes. These eBooks are designed for remediation as well as to provide a fresh and supplemental way to review for NCLEX® after using other companies’ modules and tests.

Can the faculty or students contact someone for suggestions on how to best use these eBooks?
Sally Lagerquist, RN MS will be happy to do one-on-one consultations with users of these eBooks via personal phone (contact 1-800-345-PASS) or email This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it

In summary, NurseNotes eBooks can be used at the beginning of each semester’s clinical focus (especially by at-risk students) and at the end for “tune-ups.”
